Who invented the blog?

Actually I thought it was me in the early 90s. I just didn't come up with the name - Blog.

It was a simple enough idea. An online diary that we FTPd the content up to and rendered it into a webpage. It was regularly updated and allowed Project Managers and staff in BT to see the progress and changes in one simple log or blog as it is now known.

This was for a website we were building for them. A time and date stamp helped in tracking any changes and directed them to a beta build of their site.

This central blog resource allowed BT staff and my teleworkers who were located all around the UK to see progress at one central point - so maybe I did invent the Blog after all...
